Presentation
I have worked alternately as EP/Producer/Writer/Director/Composer and Actor on award-winning shorts and feature films and in television and theatre over many years. I was infused with a love of cinema, TV, and theatre from a young age, and it has become a career for me over the years. I alternate between writing, directing, composing, acting, producing--basically anything that an indie filmmaker needs to make his vision a reality.
I have had the opportunity to work with Academy Award-winning and nominated stars and envision myself with the best and making wonderful content. I have two films in post as we speak that I'm very excited about Letters from Heaven (Par Deux), and The Accompanist Awakening (Par Deux). Those trailers/POCs will be available within a month or so.
If you want to see a screener for any of my award-winning films mentioned below, it would be my pleasure to send you a screener link.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Feature Film ‘The Accompanist’ Wins Top Prize at Silicon Beach Film Festival
LOS ANGELES - JUNE 26, 2019 - The Accompanist, a new feature film directed by Frederick Keeve, has won the Grand Prize – Best Feature Film at the Silicon Beach Film Festival awarded to writer/director Frederick Keeve, Friday, June 21st at an award ceremony at the Proud Bird restaurant in Los Angeles.
The Accompanist was recently featured in a ‘spotlight’ article in Film Daily. Click on link here: https://filmdaily.co/craft/spotlight/the-accompanist/
Its win at the Silicon Beach Film Festival follows the film’s success at the Cannes Film Market where Los Angeles-based sales company Motion Picture Exchange (MPX) sold The Accompanist to high-profile Pro-Fun Media ensuring distribution across a dozen foreign territories in Europe.
Set in the heart of Los Angeles, The Accompanist tells the story of a troubled ballet star who is seeking a comeback and finds salvation in a piano accompanist who can shape shift time with his music. When the ballet dancer’s boyfriend sees the growing attraction between the dancer and the pianist, an all out war ensues to see whose love will win out. The film is a timely gay love story, with music at its heart, featuring a beautiful array of classical music. The film stars director, writer, producer, actor, Frederick Keeve, in a leading role alongside dancer and actor, Ricky Palomino, and actor Aaron Cavette. The film also features dancer and actress, Juliet Doherty, currently starring in Driven to Dance on Netflix.
The Accompanist, a fantasy/drama gay love story with magical realism, reflects my vision in the theme of the film "using the healing power of art to unite and celebrate who we truly are." I'm very proud of my diverse cast and the portrayal of the gay male experience through realistic, complex characters, shining a light onto gay relationships as well as a family drama covering such areas as domestic violence, sex, career ambition, love and connection, says The Accompanist Director, Frederick Keeve.
The Accompanist shot in LA, is supported by a stellar cast and crew, including: Angelle Brooks who starred alongside Pamela Anderson in V.I.P.; Juliet Doherty who recently played the romantic lead in the feature film Free Dance directed by Michael Damian; Cinematographer, David M. Parks; and seasoned sound designer, Wayne Peet, who has previously worked on many classic music documentaries about Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney, and was sound mixer and/or composer on such film classics as Bull Durham, The Spitfire Grill, White Men Can’t Jump, Blaze and Scream 2.
Peter Greene, Silicon Beach Film Festival Program Director, said: We are excited to screen Frederick Keeve's exciting new feature film The Accompanist at our festival. We showed his wonderful short film Designated Caretaker Redux at one of our other festivals and enjoy seeing how Frederick's filmmaking skills have grown since then. His and the film's passion and energy are a joy to behold.
Frederick Keeve is an independent filmmaker who produced, wrote, directed and composed the score for the documentary From Russia to Hollywood: The 100- Year Odyssey of Chekhov and Shdanoff narrated by Gregory Peck which closed the Hollywood Film Festival at the iconic Paramount Theatre at Paramount Studios and was a featured selection at the London Film Festival. He also wrote, directed and produced the multi-award winning short film, Designated Caretaker Redux starring W. Morgan Sheppard, and has been a member of The Producers Guild of America (PGA) for more than ten years. He teamed up with British producer, Julie Eagleton, for The Accompanist.

About the Silicon Beach Film Festival
Silicon Beach Film festival arose from the dedication of Jon Gursha and Peter Greene, who are the creators of the Marina del Rey and Culver City Film Festivals and Silicon Beach Film Distribution. The festival, now in its 4th year, will screen all its official selections from June 14 to June 20 at the Cinemark18&XD at The Promenade, Howard Hughes Center, Los Angeles.
About The Accompanist
Mr. Keeve creates his art, especially with filmmaking, from a very personal space. In The Accompanist, the idea was born as he sat at a grand piano at Westside Academy of Dance in Santa Monica where he plays piano for ballet classes. He grew up trained as a classical pianist and wanted a vehicle to not only be able to use his original piano music for the score, but to tell the story of gay love against the backdrop of classical ballet and classical music. He felt the LGBTQ community has been underserved as far as complex gay stories that show gay love realistically with all its angst and beauty. Mixing in a bit of magical realism, family drama, and Jason's (the lead character) relationship with his teenage children, he evokes a dramatic story full of tragedy and hope.
